About Philip
Philip entered the social work field 12 years ago as a crisis counselor for adolescents and families who were struggling with interpersonal violence and family trauma. Philip then expanded his work with clients in individual therapy to help them maneuver life with addiction and severe mental health issues. He later specialized in therapeutic support services for youth and adults who had survived human trafficking experiences, most recently serving as a director of social services for a local anti-trafficking non-profit organization.
Since starting a private practice, Philip has been fortunate to get to integrate his trauma-informed and collaborative approach as he and his clients explore ways to improve overall emotional, physical, spiritual and existential wellness. He strives to provide an eclectic range of therapeutic interventions in his client relationships that emphasize empathy, safety and the view that we are all part of our own holistic ecosystems, the balancing of which can lead us to greater peace and happiness in our personal lives. In his practice, Philip supports his clients in resolving a range of topics, many of which relate to interpersonal or intergenerational trauma, identity development, depression and anxiety.
Philip holds a Master of Social Work degree from Fordham University and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of California, LCSW#94516.
