About Me
I entered the social work field 13 years ago as a crisis counselor for adolescents and families who were struggling with interpersonal violence and family trauma. I then expanded my work with clients in individual therapy to help them maneuver life with addiction and severe mental health issues. I later specialized in therapeutic support services for youth and adults who had survived human trafficking experiences, most recently serving as a director of social services for a local anti-trafficking non-profit organization and continuing as a governmental and non-governmental consultant for anti-trafficking initiatives.
Since starting a private practice, I have been fortunate to get to integrate my trauma-informed and collaborative approach as my clients, both individuals and couples, explore ways to improve overall emotional, physical, spiritual and existential wellness. I strive to provide an eclectic range of therapeutic interventions in my client relationships that emphasize empathy, safety and the view that we are all part of our own holistic ecosystems, the balancing of which can lead us to greater peace and fulfillment in our personal lives. In my practice, I support my clients in examining a range of topics, many of which relate to interpersonal or intergenerational trauma, identity development, depression, anxiety, and family conflict.
I hold a Master of Social Work degree from Fordham University and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of California, LCSW#94516.
